It is important that your hoglet comes registered with the African pygmy hedgehog club UK, this is the longest standing UK club for which breeders can register hoglets with. If your hoglet is not registered with the club you need to find out why. The club helps to ensure ethical breeding practices and holds records for WHS.
If a breeder won't register their offspring with the club it may be because their lineage is banned for inbreeding, health or ethics concerns. |
The hedgehog program is an international hedgehog registry which holds a database with extra information (health, show awards ect) and visible pedigrees.
Again, if your hoglet is not registered either here, with the UK club or neither, consider why. |
The african pygmy hedgehog club UK is a resource for UK owners regarding how to care for your hedgehog and how to find ethical breeders.
